EUROVINO, which focuses on German-speaking countries and the broader European wine market, concluded its third edition held on March 1–2, 2026, with more than 500 exhibitors. Hosted at Messe Karlsruhe, the event brought together national and international producers with professional buyers.
One of the fair’s distinctive features, the “Wine Experience” tasting area, was expanded this year with digital applications. In the “Wine Experience Rarities” section, rare and limited-availability wines were presented to professionals through digital dispensing systems. This format allowed participants to explore products independently while facilitating direct commercial discussions.
In addition, the digital “EUROVINO Weinguide,” featuring more than 4,000 registered products, served as a research and planning tool for visitors. Participants were able to take digital notes on the wines they tasted and later continue their communication with suppliers based on this information after the event.
Held under the patronage of Baden-Württemberg’s Minister for Food, Rural Affairs and Consumer Protection, Peter Hauk, the fair also hosted meetings between public authorities and industry representatives. During the event, Minister Hauk met with association representatives and members of the media to present a new initiative aimed at supporting viticulture in the region.
Messe Karlsruhe Managing Director Britta Wirtz commented on the fair’s performance with the following statement: “With its number of exhibitors and strong industry reach, the third edition of EUROVINO has further strengthened its position within the sector. We created a structure that allowed producers to present both their established products and their latest developments. This once again demonstrated the role of trade fairs in shaping market segments.”
Exhibitors also shared insights on the current market situation. Lars Auerbeck, Sales Manager at Ardau Weinimport, noted an increase in activity during customer meetings. Thomas Männle, owner of Schwarzwaldweingut Andreas Männle, who participated for the first time and has already registered for the 2027 edition, emphasized the fair’s role in opening new markets and managing existing customer portfolios.
With the conclusion of the fair, the dates for the next edition were also announced. EUROVINO 2027, for which many exhibitors have already secured their space, will take place once again in Karlsruhe on February 28 and March 1, 2027.
