The Future Fuels MENA Summit (FFMS) 2026, which was scheduled to take place in Dubai, has been postponed to April 2027 due to recent regional developments and disruptions affecting international travel. The organizing committee announced that an online event, the CCMS 2026 Virtual Summit, will be held on April 1–2, 2026 in place of the planned physical summit.
The in-person event, which aims to bring together the carbon capture and clean fuels community, will now take place in Dubai on April 7–8, 2027. Organizers stated that the postponement was decided in order to maintain high event standards and ensure a strong experience for participants.
Despite the postponement of the in-person gathering, a virtual summit will be held on April 1–2, 2026 to ensure that industry professionals can continue to connect and collaborate. The digital experience, which will be delivered through the MatchSpark platform, will offer the following technical features:
- Live Sessions: Keynote speeches and panel discussions will be streamed directly through the platform.
- Direct Networking: Participants will be able to connect with speakers, sponsors, and other professionals through integrated chat features and one-to-one video meetings.
- Interactive Participation: Live Q&A sessions will be available, along with real-time translation support for participants joining from different regions.
- Post-Event Resources: Participants will have access to the attendee list and presentation materials after the summit.
Professionals registered for the virtual summit will receive their MatchSpark login details via email on March 16. The live sessions will then take place on April 1–2. According to the organizing committee, this digital format is designed to act as a bridge that keeps the carbon capture community connected until the in-person event takes place.
