The International Istanbul Furniture Fair (IIFF) 2026 concluded following events held simultaneously at the Istanbul Expo Center and the TUYAP Fair and Congress Center. Organized across a total exhibition area of 250,000 square meters, the fair showcased the production strength and design capabilities of the Turkish furniture industry to global markets.

Throughout the fair, nearly 3,000 brands had the opportunity to showcase their products. The event was attended by industry professionals from 156 different countries. According to the shared data, the fair was visited on site by a total of 132,912 professional visitors, including 32,145 international and 100,767 domestic attendees. Buyer groups were reported to have come predominantly from Eastern Europe, Central Asia, the Balkans, and the Middle East.

MOSDER President Davut Karaçak highlighted the sectoral importance of the event in his post-fair assessment following the conclusion of the exhibition:

“IIFF is a very strong platform where the Turkish furniture industry can present its production capacity, design strength, and export potential to the world simultaneously. The intense international interest seen in Istanbul today clearly demonstrates how strong our sector’s position is in global markets.”

Drawing attention to the developments in Türkiye’s production structure and product approach, Karaçak shared the following insights regarding export performance:

“The Turkish furniture industry is no longer just a manufacturing sector; it now has a structure that designs, develops, and accurately reads the expectations of global markets. As of 2025, our furniture exports have reached approximately USD 4.7 billion, and we aim to take this figure even higher in the coming period. The collections showcased at IIFF clearly reveal both the point our sector has reached and its vision for the future.”

Also addressing the value of the organization for the sector ecosystem, Karaçak stated, “I would like to thank all institutions and organizations that contributed to the successful realization of this major event. The coordination of the Mobilya Dernekleri Federasyonu and the contributions of Ahmet Güleç are extremely valuable for our sector. IIFF is one of the strongest examples of sectoral solidarity and a culture of collective production.”
