The Eastern Mediterranean International Tourism and Travel Exhibition (EMITT) is preparing to open its doors in its 29th year with a strategic transformation. Having shaped the direction of the tourism industry for 28 years, the event will be held at its new venue, the Istanbul Expo Center (IFM), from 5 to 7 February 2026. Organised in cooperation with ICA Events and TUROFED, the fair will once again bring Türkiye’s global tourism strength to the international stage.

The sectoral expertise built over 29 years aims to transform the fair from a traditional exhibition space into a global trade hub that brings together all stakeholders of the tourism industry around shared strategic goals. Supported by ICA Events’ strong exhibition portfolio, this new phase seeks to deliver a more efficient, innovative and sustainable fair experience for participants.

The international character of the fair is underscored by concrete figures. The event is set to host 656 exhibiting companies, with representatives expected from 109 different countries. In addition, EMITT 2026 will welcome more than 660 hosted tour operators, offering high-volume cooperation opportunities for both domestic and international professionals. Having attracted nearly 30,000 professionals in previous editions, the fair aims to build an even broader network at its new venue this year.

One of the most significant physical changes in EMITT’s 29th year is the relocation of the fair to the Istanbul Expo Center (IFM). This strategic move aims to provide both national and international tourism professionals with a more central, accessible and operationally efficient experience. Country pavilions contributing to the branding of cities and villages, along with health tourism, gastronomy and outdoor destinations, will be showcased at the new venue with a modern infrastructure.

EMITT 2026 also serves as a central platform for discovering new destinations and discussing the latest tourism trends. Covering a wide spectrum ranging from summer and winter tourism to health tourism, and from hotel equipment to agency solutions, the fair continues to stand out not only as a trade venue but also as a dynamic meeting point where thousands of travel consumers shape their future travel routes.
