EUROVINO, the specialised trade fair dedicated to the European wine market, is preparing to open its doors for the third time on March 1–2, 2026 at Messe Karlsruhe in Germany. Held under the patronage of Peter Hauk, Minister of Food, Rural Affairs and Consumer Protection of Baden-Württemberg, the event serves as a strategic meeting point for wine producers, brand owners, distributors, and key industry buyers. With its focused format and professional audience, EUROVINO continues to strengthen its role within the European wine trade landscape.

Growing Exhibitor Participation and Strategic Partnership with Mexico

EUROVINO 2026 is already reporting a 10 percent increase in exhibitor registrations compared to the previous edition, signalling growing confidence in the event’s focused B2B format. A key highlight this year is the launch of the new “EUROVINO Discover” initiative, with Mexico announced as the inaugural partner country. Through this dedicated program, Mexican wine producers will present their portfolios via exhibition stands, guided tastings, and curated masterclass sessions. The initiative is designed to support market entry into German-speaking Europe, offering producers direct access to distributors, retail buyers, and hospitality professionals across the region.

EUROVINO Project Director David Köhler commented on the significance of the collaboration, stating: “Mexico’s participation as the partner country of the new Discover program demonstrates that even wine-producing nations not yet strongly represented in the German-speaking market view EUROVINO as a valuable platform to enhance their visibility. While the initiative creates added value for all stakeholders involved, EUROVINO remains firmly committed to its core brand identity and its strategic focus on the European market.”

Digital Tasting Experiences and an Integrated Wine Guide

Blending technology with traditional tasting culture, the fair introduces a dedicated “Wine Experience” zone designed to deliver a smart and interactive sampling format. Within this area, visitors can taste up to 15 selected wines through digital dispensing systems by simply scanning their visitor badges. All tasting data is automatically recorded and later shared with participants via email, allowing buyers and professionals to review their selections efficiently after the event. This data-driven approach enhances networking and follow-up opportunities between producers and trade visitors.

In addition, the newly introduced “Wine Experience Rarities” segment will spotlight limited-edition and hard-to-find collection wines rarely available in mainstream retail channels. This curated showcase is aimed specifically at trade professionals seeking exclusive labels and differentiated portfolio additions. Complementing the tasting concept, the digital planning tool “EUROVINO Weinguide” enables visitors to explore exhibitors and wines in advance, take structured notes, and organise meetings more efficiently. The platform supports both pre-event preparation and post-event follow-up, helping buyers maximise the value of their visit.

Educational Programs and Industry Recognition at EUROVINO 2026

EUROVINO 2026 also debuts a range of first-time features aimed at enhancing its industry relevance.

  • Masterclass Sessions: Introduced for the first time at EUROVINO, these expert-led sessions will feature in-depth technical presentations on diverse wine regions as well as sparkling wine production and market trends.
