One of the most significant international events for the Turkish furniture industry, the International Istanbul Furniture Fair (IIFF 2026), has officially opened with the participation of Minister of Trade Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat and industry leaders. Held between January 27 and 31, 2026, the five-day organization positions Istanbul as one of the global hubs for the furniture trade.

Due to high participation, the fair is being held simultaneously at two different venues: the Tüyap Fair and Congress Center and the Istanbul Expo Center (IFM). Showcasing the sector's production, design, and export potential, IIFF 2026 brings together local and international professionals on a single platform.

The opening ceremony was attended by Minister of Trade Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat, Istanbul Governor Davut Gül, Istanbul Chamber of Commerce President Şekib Avdagiç, Turkish Exporters Assembly President Mustafa Gültepe, and MOSFED President Ahmet Güleç. Speeches delivered at the ceremony highlighted the global standing and design power of the Turkish furniture sector. Aiming to increase furniture exports, which reached approximately $4.7 billion by 2025, the sector focuses on new markets and value-added production.

Throughout the fair, the industry's export links are planned to be strengthened through scheduled B2B meetings and international buyer delegation programs.

MOSDER President Davut Karaçak made the following assessments regarding the strategic importance of the fair:

“The International Istanbul Furniture Fair is a highly valuable organization brought to life through the collective effort, unity, and vision of our sector, under the leadership of our umbrella organization, MOSFED. As MOSDER, we consider the active participation of a significant portion of our members in this organization as a clear indicator of the faith, trust, and production power in our sector. As with every project that creates value, develops trade, and supports our export goals on behalf of the furniture industry, we continue to strongly support IIFF. On this occasion, I would like to thank MOSFED President Mr. Ahmet Güleç, who played a leading role in bringing this major organization to life, as well as all contributing institutions and stakeholders. As MOSDER, we will continue to take responsibility in the upcoming period for the Turkish furniture sector to grow even stronger on a global scale.”

IIFF 2026 will continue to welcome visitors until January 31.
