SANA Food 2026, where trade meets responsibility in the food world, opens its doors in Italy between February 22–24. Built on the values of sustainability, transparency, and ethical production, the fair will bring together companies, buyers, and professionals in the conscious food ecosystem of the future.
Strategic Synergy with Slow Wine Fair
SANA Food will be held concurrently and in synergy with the Slow Wine Fair this year. This collaboration offers visitors the opportunity to experience both quality food and conscious wine culture on a single platform. This B2B format, designed for the Horeca sector, specialized stores, and gourmet retailers, will bring together independent producers offering organic, vegan, and geographical indication (PDO, PGI) products with global buyers.
There Will Be Three Thematic Focus Points
In the 2026 edition of the fair, three specific product groups that are symbols of the Mediterranean diet and sustainable agriculture will be detailed under the Product Focus Areas:
- Olive Oil Focus: This area, featuring producers who preserve the bond with the land and healthy nutrition, will focus on extra virgin olive oil, the representative of Mediterranean culture.
- Honey Focus: Beekeeping enterprises that encourage biodiversity and the preservation of ecosystems will bring natural balance and conscious nutrition to the forefront.
- Balsamic Vinegar Focus: Artisan producers combining the centuries-old traditions of the Emilia-Romagna region with sustainable innovation will present to professionals through tasting events.
Human Values Emphasis with the “Social Food” Area
One of the most striking sections of SANA Food 2026, the Social Food Area, will showcase examples where agricultural production merges with social development and rehabilitation projects. Products from cooperatives operating in prisons, youth institutions, and lands reclaimed from organized crime will highlight not only the economic but also the human dimension of the business. These enterprises, which operate with transparent supply chains and ethical models, will meet with buyers looking for high-quality products with a story.
The fair moves beyond a simple exhibition format with tasting events, special masterclass programs, and sensory experiences within the OoH Lab (Out-of-Home). Participants will have the opportunity to establish strong commercial connections by closely examining consumer preferences redefining the food industry, newly launched products, and ethical business models.
SANA Food 2026 will welcome its professional visitors at the exhibition center in Bologna, Italy, between February 22–24.
